Welcome to Riversdale Beach Surf Lifesaving Club

Welcome to the Riversdale Beach Surf Lifesaving Club (RBSLSC).  Since 1955 the RBSLSC has protected the lives of the community proudly patrolling one of the most popular Wairarapa beaches.

Welcome to the 2022/23 summer season.  We are looking forward to a busy and sun-filled summer.  We have been busy preparing our lifeguards for the season and have an action packed few months ahead.  You'll find all the details on our website.

Patrol Hours 2022/2023

We have a combination of regional and volunteer lifeguards keeping the public safe in the water during the 2021/2022 summer.  

Guards will be patrolling on on the following days

North end patrol

  • December
    • Saturdays - 12pm to 5pm
    • Sundays - 10am to 3pm
  • 25 December  - 1pm to 5pm
  • 26 December to 29 January - 9.30am to 5.30pm
  • February
    • Saturdays - 12pm to 5pm
    • Sundays - 10am to 3pm

South end patrol

  • 26 December to 16 January
    • 1.30pm - 5.30pm weekdays
    • 9.30pm - 5.30pm weekends

 

Nipper programme

RBSLSC offers a unique beach education programme for children aged 5 years to 14 years.  Children of all abilities are welcome.  Visit our Nippers page to find out more abut the nipper programme for the 2022/2023 summer.

Details for our 2022/23 Nipper Programme are currently being finalised.  Check back soon for for full details.  Registrations are expected to open early December.

Patrols

Weekend patrols will commence on 3 December at the north end.  Full details of all patrols over the summer season are shown on our homepage.
